Price - Why is your price so competitive? We believe more people will use training and seek to better themselves if the price is very reasonable. Most quality training is very expensive, and we believe this is a barrier for most people. Boring Courses - It looks like an on-line book. Our courses really are interactive. Our CBT courses contain plenty of interactions to keep the user involved in the courses. In at least 65% of each course, there is some form of interaction. The courses contain single step and multi-step simulations, as well as various types of questions and coding examples that can be copied, compiled, and run. These various types of interactions are interspersed throughout the course to reinforce the learning process. Because of the solid instructional design of our courses, we feel we provide sufficient interaction to enhance the learning process. Instructor Led Training (ILT) - We provide classroom training to our people. They wouldn't be interested in self-paced training. You obviously work for a great organisation that is willing to invest in its people by providing them classroom training. Do you think your organisation would be interested in maximizing its ROI in classroom training by complementing it with e-Learning? Classroom training is an excellent way to educate people. However, you can get more value from those training £££s by having classroom attendees first take an e-Learning course as a prerequisite before classroom training begins. The idea is to provide everyone attending the classroom course with the same base of knowledge. This helps the instructor and often allows the class to achieve more. E-Learning is an excellent way to learn the concepts and the basics of a software product, the personalised attention classroom training provides is perfect for more advanced topics and discussing company specific information about the topic or tasks performed. E-Learning is also perfect as a refresher after the classroom training courses have ended. In a typical classroom course, there will be some people who are not in need of the training at the time of the class, so they may forget many of the skills before they actually need them. E-Learning can be used as a refresher afterward, preventing the need for another classroom course. There are always some people who need the training before a classroom session can be organised or held, e-Learning is great for these situations permitting staff to be more productive when they need to be. That's one of the great things about e-Learning; it's Just-In-Time (JIT). Bandwidth/Speed - Are your courses truly "network efficient"? System performance is certainly important. Offshoremailroom has designed the courses specifically for real-time presentation through the internet by making the average screen size presented about 20k, like sending an e-mail. This design makes the courses efficiently presented through 28.8 kb modems and faster. The courses are light on their feet, so they don't have much impact on bandwidth at all. Also, the graphics are preloaded and cached in the browser, assuring good response on the client side without affecting server performance. Additionally, we chose to write our courses in HTML, as this enables our courses to run on virtually any system: Windows 3.x, 95, NT, and seven flavours of UNIX. Can you see how this design will offer your users the response they need and keep your systems running smoothly? The deployment of the Authorware Web Player (Authorware Shockwave) plug-in seems as though it would be difficult for the user. We understand your concern about the deployment of the Authorware Web Player (Authorware Shockwave) plug-in. We have assisted other customers in understanding that Authorware Web Player (Authorware Shockwave) is a secure and safe plug-in. It has a very small footprint, about 2 mb, and is a one-time installation. Additionally, we can assist you with the development of an easy front-end loading screen. Too Many Courses - We don't need all of the courses. That's perfectly understandable. In fact, I can't think of any person or organisation that needs all the courses all the time. Bundling the courses lowers the actual cost of delivery and administration, and enables us to pass along the savings. If we marketed custom bundles of courses for each client, we would have to charge a much higher price. Many times, organisations don't think they'll need certain courses, only to find they can use some of the topics later. In some cases, it's been a real lifesaver for them, almost like a training insurance policy.
I can understand why you would like to have multimedia in your courses. We have positioned ourselves to add those capabilities when companies have the systems and bandwidth to deliver them. If the ability for your users to access the courses via the Internet is at the top of the list in selecting a training partner, and fast response and performance are essential, then we are the perfect training partners. That is why we have not yet added audio and video to our courses. However, we are positioned to add them to our courses as soon as our clients have the infrastructure to effectively deliver the large files required for audio and video. We will be able to retro-fit our courses because of our choice to use the HTML format. Can you see how we meet your delivery and performance requirements today, and also meet your enhanced requirements in the future? May I get customised groups of courses? Offshoremailroom offers set subscription plans featuring groups of courses. Our subscription plans have been established to provide the most effective combination of course studies at the most affordable prices. As we mentioned previously, bundling the courses lowers the actual cost of delivery and administration, so we're able to pass the savings on to you. Think of your subscription like a buffet - we know you won't get everything, but you'll still be able to pick and choose from what you need and get great value. |
